      Office hours are Monday - Friday 7-3.  We do have a drop slot on front door                               


 on call 24/7 including weekends, evenings and holidays if needed

 Do not use company truck for personal use

 Ensure that truck has ample fuel in it each day for emergency call outs

 Keep batteries on charge

 Be to work at assigned time

 Understand and follow directions and complete duties assigned

 Ability to understand basic water math

 Staff front office: answer phones and take information including phone numbers

 Ensure the OSWA is OSHA compliant

 Be able to work alone and make assessments of problems

 Clean shop area: Sweeping/mopping, trash removal

 Clean Tanks, Pump Station facilities: Sweeping/mopping, trash removal, snow removal

 Mowing of all OSWA facilities, valves, hydrants, meter pits, etc

 Keep trucks and equipment clean—Daily

 Keep truck/equipment in safe, running order

 Learn to install water taps, repairs to water lines

 Ensure all meters and meter pit are in operable condition

 Read water meter with accuracy

 Ensure annual valve program is implemented

 Assist with quarterly flushing

 Understand basic operation of a PRV and preform routine maintenance to all PRV’s

 Check OUPS website daily for locates

 Mark all OUPS tickets within 48 hours

 Contact excavator for any OUPS ticket questions

 Charge locator at the end of each workday

 Locator is stored in hard case when not using

 Be responsible while doing locate…ensure it is accurate

 Flags/locator paint in truck at all times

 Ensure excavator and tractor has full tank of fuel at all times, Clean tracks after each use

 Operates equipment in safest manner possible

 Performs maintenance and service work as needed

 Complete a pre-trip inspection on excavator and trailer before leaning the shop

 Responsible for safely loading and unloading all equipment

 Responsible for calling in locates before excavating

 Responsible for observing OUPS marks in area where digging

 Meets with contractors performing work for OSWA

 Meets with customers for new taps

The Association provides safe drinking water supply to 3,200 residents located in Perry and Hocking Counties. The system is operated and monitored 24 hrs./day, 365 days per year with bacterial testing done daily. We operate 2 water storage tanks and a pump station that pumps 5 million gallons of water per month through 2”- 8” water lines approximately 190 miles.


All tap owners are encouraged to attend our monthly meetings, which are held at 36879 Williams Rd, Logan, OH on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm.

RATES

RATE INCREASE EFFECTIVE DATE OCTOBER 2024

The Board of Trustees regrets having to increase the rates, but we must ensure that we can operate efficiently and provide quality water to our customers. Some of the intended use of the revenue is:


  • Replace main water lines, meters, regulators, and other necessary components that are aging.
  • Install sub meters to monitor areas of our main lines for leaks (leaks on the main line are lost revenue)


SINGLE RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS:

  • First 2,000 gallons per month:        $40.00 per 2,000 gallons
  • All Over 2,000 gallons per month:  $16.00 per 1,000 gallons

 

COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS (Including CAMPGROUNDS)

  • First 2,000 gallons per month:         $42.00 per 2,000 gallons
  • All Over 2,000 gallons per month:   $17.00 per 1,000 gallons
